Each search must include the following fields:

These fields are mandatory. Requests missing any of them will return an error or no data.

We also use wildcard matching. For example, the first name “Chris” will match “Chris, “Christine, and “Christopher”.

Full Name, DOB, Gender, Race, Arrest Date, County of Arrest, County of Residence, & Crime Codes

How complete is your database?

Leveraging data from all 58 counties in California, our database contains in excess of 15.2 million arrest records from late 2013 to the present.

While we are committed to providing the most comprehensive publicly available coverage, it is important to note that as a private organization, the completeness of our records can be influenced by the information released and the timeliness of responses from arresting agencies, potentially leading to occasional instances where an arrest record may not be found, a distinction from the resources of the Department of Justice.

How current is the data in your database?

Our database is updated on a rolling basis from official law enforcement sources, typically daily or weekly depending on the jurisdiction.

Can records be removed or disputed?

We cannot alter or remove data from official sources. Individuals seeking corrections should contact the original arresting agency. However, we can remove data from our database.

If you wish to remove your arrest data, navigate to the Contact page and provide your First and Last name (as it appears in the arrest data), Approximate Arrest Date, Arrest County, and your Date of Birth.

Are arrest records public in California?

Yes, California government code allows public access to arrest records, although access may be restricted for sealed or expunged records.
